Job Posting MLT/MT - Laboratory Full-time position which includes serving on-call. The candidate must be able to respond to calls within 30 minutes. We will consider applicants who have either the MLT or MT certification. Responsibilities: At the direction and control of the Lab Director, the Medical Technologist will perform mechanical and chemical operations and microscopic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Ensures that chemical, microscopic, hematology and bacteriologic tests are performed accurately and efficiently, and that the results are reported in a timely manner. Records and reports laboratory results. Leads MLTs in the performance of duties, both technically and theoretically. Performs other duties as assigned including support of any medical training performed at facility. Applies techniques used in fields of Hematology, Serology, chemistry, Bacteriology and immunohematology. Understands the relationship of test results to patient age specific characteristics. Comply with all Health and Safety, Laboratory policies and protocol and Human Resources policies and procedures. Ensures any required licenses remain up to date. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or related degree [or foreign equivalent]. Applicant must be either AMT or ASCP certified.
